IT Operations Administrator

This is work directing operations and support for data, security, and voice communications equipment, mainframe and client server operations, software support, and network operations.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Testing, installing, maintaining, and supporting hardware/software systems as well as desktop hardware and software.
• Technical support, and incident resolution related to various hardware, software, Windows, and custom applications. 
• The ability to communicate with other departments and vendors to report and troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems.
• Developing and directing IT operational functions. Develops and communicates standards for use, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data.
• Developing operational policies and procedures.
• Providing technical advice to management.
• Develops and implements procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
• Evaluates new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing software and hardware.
• Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S):

• Bachelor`s degree (B.A.) or associate`s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The ability to work independently on multiple tasks of varying priority.
