Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Assistant

Job Goal: The FFVP is a USDA-funded program that provides free fresh fruits and vegetables to children in participating elementary schools. The program's goals include:

Increasing children's fruit and vegetable consumption

Expanding the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience

Influencing children's life-long eating habits

Creating healthier school environments

Qualifications:

• Background check: A clean background check
• Organization: The ability to prioritize and multitask
• Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Appearance: A professional appearance
• Strength: The ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs
• Dexterity: Manual dexterity to handle boxes and supplies.
• Washing, sorting, counting and distributing fruits and vegetables to students
• Clean and prep fruits and vegetables for distribution

Salary & Schedule:

• 9 hours per week (Monday-Wednesday)
• $15.00 per hour
• 10:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M.
