The Assistant Loss Prevention Manager helps oversee the safety and security of guests, employees, and property at Elevation Convening Center and Hotel. Working closely with the Loss Prevention Manager, this role supports daily operations, incident response, investigations, and the development of loss prevention strategies. The Assistant Loss Prevention Manager is a visible presence on the property, ensuring compliance with policies, leading by example, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Loss Prevention Manager in all aspects of department operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising loss prevention staff.Conduct regular patrols of the hotel and conference areas to deter theft, vandalism, and unsafe behavior.Respond quickly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and guest/employee concerns.Monitor surveillance, access control, and alarm systems; review and preserve relevant footage as needed.Participate in investigations of theft, accidents, and other incidents, documenting findings and reporting to management.Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and loss prevention.Support emergency preparedness efforts, including drills and staff training.Collaborate with hotel management, local law enforcement, and emergency responders as necessary.Prepare and maintain accurate records, incident reports, and daily activity logs.Assist in developing and delivering loss‑prevention training for staff.Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.QualificationsPrevious experience in security, loss prevention, or a related field preferred; hospitality experience a plus.Supervisory or team lead experience is an asset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.Working knowledge of security systems and protocols.High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in criminal justice, security management, or a related area is a plus.Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand and walk for extended periods.Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.Reports To: Loss Prevention DirectorAbout Elevation Convening Center and HotelElevation is dedicated to providing a welcoming, secure, and exceptional environment for guests and staff.
