Job Description
The Administrative Clerk supports documentation management and process standardization efforts across a manufacturing facility. This role focuses on organizing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other operational documents in SharePoint while partnering closely with Area Process Managers to ensure documentation meets operational needs. The position suits a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who enjoys organization, documentation management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities

  • Organize, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other operational documents within SharePoint.
  • Ensure all documentation is properly categorized, version controlled, and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with Area Process Managers to gather requirements, update documentation, and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve document management processes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Track document revisions and maintain accurate records of updates, approvals, and historical versions.
  • Perform data entry and maintain filing systems, including electronic and physical records, to support efficient document retrieval.
  • Assist with administrative projects and provide general departmental support as assigned.
  • Handle scanning, filing, and organization of documents to maintain orderly records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive or proprietary information.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to clarify documentation needs and timelines.
  • Manage multiple priorities and tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience in administrative, clerical, document control, or manufacturing support roles (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.
  • Professional and personable demeanor with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
  • Competence in data entry and general computer skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in administrative support, clerical support, or documentation management.
  • Experience maintaining filing systems and performing scanning and electronic records management.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office tools beyond the basics, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams while requiring minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new systems, tools, and procedures.
  • Additional education beyond a high school diploma is a plus.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility and follows a Monday-Friday day-shift schedule. The environment is fast-paced and process-driven, requiring focus, organization, and consistent attention to detail. You will collaborate with multiple departments and Area Process Managers while working independently for much of the day. The role involves standard office-related tasks such as data entry, filing, scanning, and managing electronic document systems within a manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Prattville, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
