Shipping & Receiving Associate

Under general to limited supervision the Shipping and Receiving Associate will perform all aspects of the logistic and inventory function which will include but is not limited to; cycle counts for finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials, inventory audits, coordination of deliveries and shipments, processing and obtaining all required documentation; communicate with other departments, customers and vendors in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities
  • Cycle count, verify inventory levels and initiate inventory level adjustment proposals in SAP for finished goods, raw materials, and shipping materials.
  • Submit recommended inventory adjustment to appropriate management representative.
  • Receive all raw material in SAP, notify Logistics analyst to request COA's from suppliers when not received with shipments.
  • Perform dock audit on all outgoing shipments for shipment accuracy.
  • Coordinate weekly shipments for pads production in alignment with customer requirements.
  • Print weekly open purchase order report to ensure no early receipt of incoming product.
  • Process BOL's / Packing Slips
  • Delivery of Raw materials, packaging materials, and other related production materials to the production area.
  • Notify purchasing department when non-inventory items need to be ordered.
  • Coordinate with Logistics analyst to get the shipments ready
  • Ensure FIFO procedures are followed
  • Receive Purchase Orders for Direct Materials
  • Help organize and maintain organization of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Always adhere to company safety requirements; wear all appropriate PPE as required.
  • Assist EHS and Management with various environmental projects related to facility organization as required.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and vendors. Follow manager instructions as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical and Mental Requirements/Equipment Operations Requirement
  • Lifting ability: Up to 50 lbs. without assistance, and heavier weights with assistance.
  • Able to walk and move around the plant unassisted in a safe manner
  • Able to climb on top of containers, forklift and other surfaces
  • Able to squat, stoop, bend, reach, grab
  • Able to sit at a desk for a period of time
  • Ability to type on computer, read, and comprehend verbal and written instructions and documents.
  • Ability to learn new computer programs used within company
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and within company
Technical Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills (Basic Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word knowledge)
  • Ability and skills to operate a forklift (must pass forklift certification)
Education/Experiences

Education Required: High School Diploma (GED) Completed

Experience Required: 1-2 years' experience in Logistics processes.
