Details Work setting is a hospital-based respiratory therapy unit serving both NICU and adult patient populations NICU unit has 36 beds with typically 18–20 patients NICU patient care includes ground transports, Nitric Oxide administration, and transport responsibilities Adult patient care includes general and critical care cases EMR: Cerner (experience required); Omnicell medication dispensing Equipment includes Spacelabs monitors, PB 840, PB 980, Drager VN500, LTV, and Airvo ventilators, and 3100A oscillator 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; night shift availability also exists (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) 36 hours per week Weekend rotation every other weekend Voluntary call available NICU therapists float to adult units as needed One major and one minor seasonal holiday required per policy Requirements RRT preferred; CRT considered with a minimum of 2 years of experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU required Candidates with only 1 year of experience will not be considered BLS and NRP required; ACLS and APLS preferred Cerner or Epic EMR experience required Must be able to work independently in a Level 3 NICU, including as the sole NICU RRT on a shift Ground transport and Nitric Oxide administration experience preferred Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible License required if applicable One reference from a charge nurse or above from the past 12 months required for consideration DOB (day and month) required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are considered with at least 2 years of experience and Cerner or Epic EMR experience Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler Orientation for new or returning travelers (absent 1 years) includes 24 hours of classroom training and 24 hours on the unit; orientation for recent rehires is evaluated on a case-by-case basis An interview is required prior to any offer being extended Scrubs: Navy blue Free parking available in an on-site parking deck RTO blackout dates apply to several major holidays and holiday weekends throughout the year; up to 7 days of RTO may otherwise be approved American Traveler Job ID P-707185.
