Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Current and valid Special Education Teacher licensure for the state of Alabama (verification required)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Proven proficiency supporting a variety of special education classroom types (inclusion, self-contained, behavior unit)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with school staff, students, and families
• Ability to adapt and innovate to meet individual student needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based instruction to students with diverse abilities and needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent student progress
• Foster a learning environment that promotes engagement, confidence, and independence
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and documentation requirements
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and goals
