Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students by supporting diverse learning needs as a Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience in multiple classroom environments, ranging from inclusion settings to self-contained and behavior units. With five openings available, you're invited to help foster growth and positive change for students across the elementary spectrum.

Your responsibilities will include developing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with general education staff, providing tailored instruction, managing classroom behavior, and maintaining detailed records. You'll also act as an advocate for your students, supporting their achievement and well-being throughout the academic year.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) licensure, verifiable via the official certification portal.
  • Demonstrated experience (student teaching or professional) in elementary special education settings.
  • Familiarity with inclusion, self-contained, and behavior unit models.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver instruction based on each student's IEP goals.
  • Effectively manage classroom routines and address behavioral challenges.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to optimize student outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development activities.
