Responsibilities: * Assemble, disassemble, modify, inspect, and repair aerospace vehicle components and systems. * Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, avionics, electro-environmental, fire control, and integrated conventional weapons systems. * Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication, and modification of electronic and electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and test equipment. * Remove, install, configure, and test weapons control, launch, release, suspension, bomb navigation, and Alternate Mission Equipment systems. * Conduct pretest, operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, validation, verification, and final testing. * Perform explosive operations, including loading, unloading, positioning, arming, and safing conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics. * Complete maintenance documentation, work control records, repairs, test results, modifications, and inspection records in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements. * Inspect components and verify repairs meet flight worthiness requirements. * Maintain tool control, clean work areas, and support on-site training as required. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED required. * Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance * U.S. Person required for Export Compliance. * Typically requires 4+ years of related aviation maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Military helicopter maintenance experience highly preferred. * Experience with daily inspections, aircraft launch/recovery, servicing, and flightline operations. * Military aviation avionics experience required. * Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics, weapons systems, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, and electro-mechanical components. * Experience using special tools, avionics test equipment, maintenance forms, and computer-based maintenance databases. * Prior U.S. Air Force aviation maintenance experience preferred. * Must be able to work in all areas of the helicopter, stand for prolonged periods, and lift/carry up to 40 lbs. * Fully onsite at Maxwell AFB, AL; must be available for all shifts. Current schedule is 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, 1500-0100, with possible shift changes, limited overtime, and occasional Saturday comp-time opportunities. Travel is not required.
