The Correctional Safety Watch Monitor plays a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:Conduct one-on-one, direct observation of patients at risk of self-injury or suicide. Under the supervision and guidance of a licensed behavioral health professional, conduct observational rounds on suicide watch and/or in select behavioral health settings. Reliably document and communicate observations of patients on suicide watch and/or housed in behavioral health units. Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation as indicated. Monitor patients and promote prosocial behavior. Participation in unit treatment team planning. Documentation of critical incidents and treatment progress in patient's medical record at the discretion of supervisor. Participation in unit morning report and regular unit staff meetings.
