Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to oversee and manage the maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong background in industrial maintenance, facilities management, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will possess excellent management and supervisory skills, along with technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. As a key leader in our maintenance team, you will ensure that all equipment and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise daily maintenance activities across the facility, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Verify cleanliness and facility conditions in compliance with SQF and GMP requirements.
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers in compliance with GMP and safety requirements.
  • Support pest control program coordination and maintain SQF-required records.
  • Monitor HVAC, water, and compressed air systems; report and follow up on issues.
  • Maintain facility inspection logs, work orders, and audit documentation.
  • Coordinate exterior maintenance, docks, and building perimeter activities.
  • Support emergency systems inspections and documentation.
  • Assist with waste management coordination and vendor services.
  • Manage maintenance schedules using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders and preventive maintenance.
  • Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage equipment.
  • Lead projects related to facility upgrades, repairs, or new installations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to industrial maintenance, including proper handling of high voltage and high voltage systems.
  • Conduct inspections of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and electrical infrastructure to identify potential issues before failure occurs.
  • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices for troubleshooting electrical problems.
  • Collaborate with management to develop budgets for maintenance activities and capital improvements.

Experience

  • Proven management or supervisory experience within facilities management or industrial maintenance environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage applications.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS software for work order management and preventive maintenance planning.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical wiring, project management principles, and safety standards in manufacturing settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing, GMP, SQF, or regulated environment preferred.
