AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Medical Technologist in Prattville, Alabama, 36067!

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field as required by client.
• Current AMT or ASCP certification required. (Client accepts MLT OR MLS; AMT OR ASCP.)
• In-state laboratory licensure if required by Alabama for the assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience. (Client will not accept travelers with only 1 year.)
• Experience performing hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis testing. Blood bank experience preferred.
• Familiarity with phlebotomy preferred but not required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital (107-bed community hospital).
• Shift name: Nights.
• Shift details: Nights 1930-0530, 4x10.
• Schedule cycle: Manager posts schedule 4 weeks at a time and provides schedule 1 week in advance.
• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend.
• Holiday expectation: One holiday per contract.
• Orientation: Brief general hospital orientation plus management-led orientation with checkoffs; typically at least one week.
• Department staffing: Lab staffed 24/7; MLT/MLS will always have at least one other tech on shift.
• Technology/equipment in use: Siemens Vista chemistry, XN-2000 hematology, Siemens CS-2500 coagulation, Advantis urinalysis, iSed sedimentation; EMR: Cerner.
• Floating: No floating required.
