The Default Claims Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all default claims, including Mortgage Insurance (MI) claims. You will be responsible for validating claims, certifying their accuracy, and facilitating their submission to various entities such as FHA, USDA, PMI, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC. This position must adhere to all company policies, as well as US state and federal regulations, ensuring a smooth and compliant claims process. The target pay for this role ranges from $20.00 to $24.50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review FHA, VA, PMI, USDA, FNMA, and FHLMC claims within stipulated timeframes to ensure accuracy.
  • Validate and reconcile all associated expenses in compliance with agency requirements.
  • Identify and correct errors found during the QA claim review prior to claim submission for reimbursement.
  • Maintain proper documentation within the Mortgage platform, ensuring process tracking is accurate.
  • Escalate any trends or issues identified from the QA process for further examination.
  • Verify timely maintenance and payment of taxes and insurance, ensuring compliance with investor/insurer guidelines.
  • Enforce adherence to company procedures regarding the management of interest and advances.
  • Conduct internal quality assurance checks on all departmental claim documents.
  • Complete assigned monthly audits to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Demonstrate a moderate understanding of default claims processes for various insurers and investors.
  • Have a foundational understanding of the default servicing process, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, and the claims process.
  • Exhibit knowledge of agency and investor guidelines.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, emphasizing teamwork and quality assessment.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with organizational and time management skills.
  • Effectively engage with staff and management at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Manage tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
  • Handle multiple tasks under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; some college education preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in mortgage servicing default or QA/QC experience in another field, or a college degree.
  • Able to work Monday through Thursday from 7 AM to 5 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with overtime as necessary.
