As a Technical Specialist for Shipboard Entertainment, you will play a crucial role in providing essential technical support for entertainment events throughout the ship and our private island. Your responsibilities will include setting up, operating, and dismantling audio, video, lighting, and other technical entertainment systems. You will also assist with preventive maintenance and routine repairs to ensure everything runs smoothly.

You will report directly to the Senior Technician in our shipwide team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and dismantle technical equipment for assigned events throughout the ship and on the island.

• Safely handle heavy equipment and road cases.

• Manage daily operations of wireless microphones, ensuring proper frequency tuning, power management, and signal integrity.

• Mix live audio using digital audio consoles for various performances.

• Conduct sound and microphone checks for venues and performers across the ship.

• Operate lighting consoles for both intelligent and traditional lighting fixtures.

• Promptly report any equipment or consumable issues to ensure quick resolution.

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on all shipwide equipment.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in technical booths and storage areas.

• Assist in the development and implementation of contingency plans as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years' experience in an entertainment-related environment.

• Solid understanding of computer systems or computerized control systems.

• A trade school or college diploma is preferred.

• A valid Driver's License is required.

This position is SHIPBOARD. You must:

• Have a genuine interest in a career at sea and be prepared to live and work aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel.

• Be committed to following safety roles, emergency responsibilities, and other duties as outlined in the ship's Safety Management System.

• Be willing to share a cabin with colleagues and appreciate a multicultural living environment with established rules and regulations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Hold a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (documents will be provided to obtain this).

• Complete a pre-employment medical examination.

• Obtain a criminal background check.

• Bring approved work footwear.
