Job Summary: Join our team as a Mobile Maintenance Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our properties are well-maintained and welcoming for our tenants. This position involves performing daily maintenance tasks, responding to work orders, and conducting monthly preventative maintenance. Reliable transportation is essential for traveling to various locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional appearance, including neat attire and a name tag.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are organized and stocked for daily tasks.
  • Utilize safety equipment properly and consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, management, and fellow team members.
  • Possess a basic understanding or willingness to learn various maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical work, drywall repair, painting, and HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Assist the Lead Maintenance in managing parts and supplies for ongoing property upkeep.
  • Complete daily work orders promptly (within 24 hours) to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct monthly preventative maintenance checks to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Collaborate with lead maintenance to swiftly turn units for new tenants.
  • Respond to on-call maintenance requests as relayed by the call center.
  • Maintain curb appeal by picking up litter and reporting maintenance issues to the Property Manager.
  • Exhibit a friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service to foster a positive living environment for tenants.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work in various conditions including cramped, dusty, cold, or hot environments.
  • Physical stamina to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, kneel, and lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Possess personal maintenance tools.
  • Uphold a professional, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
