divh2Shipping/Receiving Associate/h2pWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shipping/Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accuracy in inventory, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of our high-volume flooring materials./ppResponsibilities:/pulliShipping: Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments accurately according to customer orders (flooring materials, tools, accessories). Coordinate with freight carriers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries./liliReceiving: Unload incoming freight, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and inspect materials for damages or discrepancies. Document and report any damaged or shorted goods immediately./liliInventory Management: Efficiently and safely store received items in designated locations. Assist in periodic and annual inventory counts and help maintain organized stock levels./liliSafety Compliance: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (certification required). Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations to maintain a secure working environment./liliDocumentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and receiving logs, accurately and legibly. Utilize warehouse management software (WMS) for data entry./li/ulpWorking hours: Various Shifts Available/ppSkills:/pulliExperience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or inventory tracking software./liliKnowledge of freight logistics and carrier documentation (BOLs)./liliExperience handling large or irregular materials, such as flooring rolls or long planks./li/ulpEducation:/ppNo Degree Required/ppExperience:/pp0-1 years/ppQualifications:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./liliMinimum of 2 years of experience in a dedicated shipping, receiving, or general warehouse role./liliProven ability to safely operate a forklift and pallet jack (current certification preferred)./liliBasic math skills and attention to detail for verifying counts and tracking inventory./liliAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods./li/ulpPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant shipping and receiving experience to Spherion.com.
