As a Chef De Partie, you will engage directly in kitchen operations, collaborating closely with the Junior Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to prepare exceptional food that meets Disney's premium quality standards in both flavor and presentation.

Your Responsibilities - How You Will Make a Difference

  • Take hands-on responsibility for your dedicated section within the galley.

  • Guide and lead the Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs de Partie.

  • Adhere to company recipe guidelines through recipe booklets and evaluate plate presentation.

  • Organize and manage your responsibilities for daily service efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with Disney Cruise Line and Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) requirements.

  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures for your production areas and coordinate with Cooks & Stewards.

  • Monitor the handling and maintenance of kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance needs to the Sous Chef.

Basic Qualifications - What You Will Bring to the Team

  • A minimum of two years of formal culinary training plus three years of work experience, or at least six years of work experience with two years in a similar role.

  • Prior experience working on a ship is required.

  • Proficient skills across all kitchen stations.

  • Strong knowledge of safe food handling procedures including HACCP / USPH.

  • Ability to follow and convert recipes accurately.

Additional Information:

This is a SHIPBOARD position.

You must:

  • Have a genuine interest in a career at sea, ready to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel.

  • Be prepared to perform safety roles and emergency responsibilities as outlined in the ship Assembly Plan.

  • Uphold general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in your operational areas.

  • If applicable, be amenable to sharing a confined cabin with fellow crew members and appreciate the multicultural environment with established rules and regulations.

Your Requirements:

  • Possess a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (Disney Cruise Line will assist with obtaining these documents).

  • Complete a pre-employment medical examination.

  • Provide a criminal background check.

  • Bring your own approved work shoes.

Disney Cruise Line maintains a drug-free workplace policy. All new hires must undergo drug/alcohol testing within the first week onboard and throughout their contracts. Failure to pass will result in immediate termination.
