The General Laborer will be responsible for providing assistance to skilled tradespeople, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently. This position requires stamina, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to safety./ppResponsibilities:/pulliManual Labor Support: Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and supplies using dollies, wheelbarrows, or by hand./liliDig trenches, shovel materials (e.g., dirt, sand, gravel), and spread aggregate./liliAssist skilled trades workers (e.g., carpenters, masons, mechanics) by holding tools, fetching materials, and performing basic tasks./liliOperate small hand and power tools, such as drills, hammers, saws, and measuring equipment, under supervision./liliSite Maintenance Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, picking up debris, removing trash, and disposing of waste./liliClear work areas of hazards and ensure proper warning signs are in place./liliMonitor and secure job sites or facilities at the end of the shift./liliAdhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)./liliEquipment Operation (Basic): Clean and maintain tools and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order./liliPerform basic setup and cleanup of equipment used on the job site./liliLogistics Inventory: Prepare and stage materials for upcoming tasks. Assist with inventory counting and organization of supplies in storage areas or warehouses./li/ulpWorking hours: Various Shifts Available/ppSkills:/pulliPower Tools: Familiarity and experience operating common construction power tools beyond basic drills and saws (e.g., impact wrenches, concrete mixers, rotary hammers, specialized cutting tools)./liliBasic Machine Operation: Experience operating small construction or yard machines (e.g., compactors, skid steers, mini-excavators, walk-behind trenchers) with proper certification or training./liliMaterial Handling Equipment: Certification or proven ability to safely operate a forklift or pallet jack for organizing and moving materials in a warehouse or job site setting./li/ulpEducation: High School/ppExperience: 1-4 years/ppQualifications:/pulliPhysical Strength Stamina: Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) repeatedly, bending, stooping, standing, and walking for extended periods./liliSafety Consciousness: A big commitment to safe work practices and the ability to identify and report potential hazards./liliWork Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and possessing a desire to learn and complete assigned tasks effectively./liliCommunication: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and team members./liliEnvironment: Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, and/or in loud, dusty, or confined indoor spaces./liliMinimum Requirement: High school diploma or GED is often preferred, but not always required.
