Job Title

JOB GOAL: Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational foundation Utilize technology to motivate students and prepare students for 21st century Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors Perform other duties as assigned by the principal

Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama Teaching Certificate in Library Science or Endorsement in Library Science
• Valid Alabama Driver's License
• Demonstration and record of sound moral character
• Knowledge of technology integration in classroom
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Establish program objectives and plan learning experiences that support instruction program
• Manage Library Media Program Services including staff, facility and budgets
• Work collaboratively with teachers and serve as resource to both teachers and students
• Teach information literacy skills as outlined in Literacy Partners
• Be responsible for development and management of a well rounded library collection
• Provide positive leadership
• Coach or sponsor athletics/extra-curricular activities
• Other duties as assigned

SALARY: Board approved salary schedule based on rank, certification and experience WORK TERM: 187 days

EFFECTIVE DATE: 25-26 School Year
