Billing Operations Manager

Serving as a strategic and leadership role, the position will manage the organization's billing operations, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Key functions include leading and mentoring the billing team and providing insights on revenue cycle management to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance revenue cycle management
  • Reduce Days Sales Outstanding by streamlining the billing process to accelerate payment from customer.
  • Increase cash flow by ensuring all invoices are generated and sent accurately and on time.
  • Minimize revenue loss by implementing controls to prevent incorrect billing.
  • Improve Operational Efficiency
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of invoices according to customer guidelines, reducing errors and delays.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and automate processes, leading to more efficient operations.
  • Ensure effective dispute resolution by resolving complex billing issues.
  • Provide strategic contribution and leadership
  • Analyze key billing metrics and provide strategic insight to leadership on improving overall financial performance.
  • Build, train, and develop a skilled efficient billing team capable of meeting departmental goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or college coursework in finance or accounting.
  • The ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills for managing teams and collaborating with others.
  • Strong business acumen, with P&L knowledge.
  • Intermediate computer skills to include MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with the ability to effectively learn and navigate proprietary call management systems.
