QUALIFICATIONS:
* Current Alabama Teacher's Certification, bachelor's degree or higher with an endorsement in general elementary
* Three (3) years of successful certified teaching Experience teaching STEM, Robotics, and/or innovated classroom instruction is strongly preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The STEM teacher will develop and implement reading, math, and STEM education into the summer academy. The ideal candidate for this position recognizes, understands, and believes in the critical role STEM disciplines play in a successful future for our students and community. The ideal candidate holds a passionate belief that all children can and will master rigorous content and ways of thinking. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepares and delivers high-quality, interactive STEM instruction for elementary students by creating lesson plans that are culturally relevant for a diverse student population.
* Be a role model/mentor, promoting well-being, development, confidence, and success; motivate and inspire all to be active students in STEM activities, encouraging their long-term involvement.

* Designs and adapts curriculum for students in a fun, interactive, and empowering learning
* Ability to organize effectively (STEM and PBL projects)
* Willing to attend paid training sessions to prepare for the summer program

SALARY: $50/hour
