We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing or General Build Construction projects. The role includes planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large projects. Responsibilities also involve participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You will develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures, control documents in the Prolog database, prepare material status reports, process RFIs, and manage meeting minutes.

The position is location-flexible within the US, with willingness to travel to client projects long-term.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution: Ensure engineering activities comply with requirements and support construction schedules. Provide technical support including planning, design interpretation, construction methods, conflict resolution, constructability reviews, and shop drawings. Develop and manage project engineering procedures.
  • Resource Management: Manage project engineering personnel and subcontractors. Coordinate with onsite departments to resolve problems and ensure quality.
  • Risk Management: Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project management.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person, possibly overseeing small to medium projects.

Qualifications

  • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • At least 3 years of construction engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills for coordination with teams and stakeholders.

Skills and Attributes

  • Technical expertise in construction, procurement, project controls, and contracts.
  • Budget management, financial forecasting, resource allocation experience.
  • Risk assessment and mitigation skills.
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
