SMX is seeking a Power Platform Developer to support our internal operations by designing, developing, and maintaining modern business applications and process automation using Microsoft Power Platform tools-including Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Power BI. This position focuses on enabling internal teams through better data visibility, workflow automation, and collaborative apps to increase efficiency and insight across departments.
We are looking for a proactive problem solver who is excited to work internally with various stakeholders to identify opportunities, streamline operations, and deliver scalable solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Understand and translate internal business needs into effective Power Platform solutions
Build and support custom solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI
Design low-code/no-code apps, forms, and workflows that improve internal processes
Create business portals and web apps using Power Pages & Canvas Apps to facilitate collaboration and information sharing
Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements, document use cases, and validate solutions
Build Power BI dashboards and reports to improve insight and decision-making across business functions
Utilize connectors, AI Builder, and Dataverse to enhance application functionality
Create database models and configure data gateways as needed
Perform unit testing and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
Maintain technical documentation (diagrams, guides, process flows)
Contribute ideas and continuously improve internal systems and platforms
Required Skills/Experience
5+ years' experience with Microsoft Power Platform products
Strong proficiency in Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI
Familiarity with ALM concepts, DevOps tools, and solution lifecycle best practices
Experience gathering requirements and communicating with internal business stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Desired Skills/Experience
Experience developing secure Power Pages sites integrated with Dataverse or SharePoint
Familiarity with Azure Logic Apps or Azure Functions for extended capabilities
Experience creating Model-Driven Apps and managing data models in Dataverse
Understanding of Power Platform security and governance practices
Experience with data integration tools and reporting services (SSIS, SSRS)
BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field
Power Platform Fundamentals certification
PMP or Agile certification

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:
$87,600-$146,000 USD
