Dental Director - Montgomery, AL

Pay - $130,000-$180,000

A respected healthcare organization in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Dental Director to lead and manage its general dental health services. This role combines clinical dentistry with administrative leadership and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on community health while overseeing a competent dental team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and direct a comprehensive program of general dental health services
• Supervise dental staff and ensure high standards of care and compliance
• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and conditions of the oral cavity
• Oversee maintenance of dental records, encounter forms, and regulatory paperwork
• Provide or arrange emergency dental care
• Participate as a member of the management team and in federal program implementation
• Approve continuing education and supervise students/interns during patient care
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and life safety standards per JCAHO guidelines
• Ensure dental providers operate within the scope of their privileges
• Monitor provider productivity and conduct peer review activities
• Promote collaboration across departments and contribute to data gathering and survey readiness

• Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental school
• Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Alabama
• Holds a current Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (DOJ & Alabama Dental Board)
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical dental experience in a private or employed setting
• Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred
• Knowledge of applicable dental regulations, policies, and emergency preparedness
