Salary: $90,000–$115,000 (DOE)
Certifications Required: CompTIA Security+ (Sec+) and CCNA (CCNA can be obtained within 90 days if not already held)
Clearance: TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility required (this is not flexible) Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator III to join our team on-site at Maxwell-Gunter AFB. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise-level network architectures and configurations, and possess hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing network systems. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure network performance, security, and reliability while documenting all activities for auditing and compliance purposes. Key Responsibilities:
•Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, and harden routers, switches, serial consoles, and load balancers.
•Analyze and simulate network traffic to assist in problem resolution and test updated configurations in both virtual and physical lab environments.
•Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth, reporting anomalies to Government team leads.
•Develop, execute, modify, or remove scripts to automate network administration tasks where possible.
•Review and document all workload activities per incident or change request to eliminate rework and support auditing or investigations.
•Maintain accountability of equipment by notifying the Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC) within 4 hours of any item movement.
•Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after installations or repairs. Qualifications:
•7+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise-level network administration, including routers, switches, load balancers, and serial consoles.
•Strong understanding of network architectures and configurations; experience with Cisco ACI is desired.
•Proven ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance.
•Strong scripting skills for task automation.
•Excellent documentation and communication skills.
•Security+ certification required; CCNA required (can be obtained within 90 days if not already held).
