Job Description
Superintendent - Commercial Construction
Seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join a well-established and respected general contractor based in the Mobile, Alabama area. This role isideal for a construction professional who enjoys managing commercial ground-up and renovation projects from start to finish-without the need for extended travel. Projects are local to the Mobile area, allowing for consistent work close to home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day on-site operations for commercial construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, and inspections
- Ensure quality control, schedule adherence, and job site safety compliance
- Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and communication with project managers
- Lead site meetings and serve as the primary point of contact on-site
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
- Proven experience delivering ground-up and renovation projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety, and quality standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction software platforms is a plus
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
