Local Home Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Live-In Caregiver to assist our clients in their daily living activities. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a 1:1 care environment and is passionate about helping others, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication monitoring, and personal care and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and other household tasks.
• Foster independence and help clients achieve individual goals.
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings, including grocery shopping and doctor visits.
• Be adaptable to the client's changing needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to healthcare professionals.
• Provide constant redirection and support for dementia behaviors.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Experience in caregiving.
• Ability to be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Comfortable with running errands and shopping with clients.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Pay:

• The average over a 7-day period totals $170/day.
• Your regular hourly wage is $8.00/hour for up to 40 hours per week.
• Overtime is paid at $12.00/hour for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week.
