Job Overview:

The Pipe Layer will be responsible for laying and joining pipe for sewer, drainage & water installations. Grade and level trenches using laser, assisting equipment operators and site crew to meet project timeline. Maintain tools and equipment to ensure performance and safety. We are seeking skilled and dedicated Pipe layer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, align, and connect pipes for stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water systems
  • Grade and level trenches using laser or transit to ensure proper pipe placement
  • Assist with backfilling, compacting, and restoration of trenches and surfaces
  • Perform any and all duties necessary in addition to pipe laying
  • Work safely and efficiently in various weather and jobsite conditions
  • Read and interpret jobsite plans and layout markers under supervision
  • Be able to set the pipe laser up in manhole and establish line
  • Lay out pipe routes using blueprints and coordinating with crew
  • Ensure proper slope, alignment, and joint integrity for all pipe systems
  • Collaborate with equipment operators and site crew to complete work on schedule
  • Maintain tools, safety equipment, and materials related to pipe installation

Requirements

  • Proven previous experience in pipe laying, underground utilities, or general construction
  • Experience with pipe laser setup preferred
  • Willingness to be trained in company-specific pipe installation methods
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments (digging, lifting, crouching, etc.)
  • Reliable transportation and punctual work ethic
  • Comfortable working in trenches and around heavy equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with the crew

Schedule:
  • Full-Time
    Monday to Friday (Every other Saturday or as needed based on project demand)
  • Overtime
  • Rotating weekends
  • Weekends as needed

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
