The Central Transport Associate II is primarily responsible for the safe transport of patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair, stretcher as requested to include transport of patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips and special equipment. Also responsible for effective daily coordination and monitoring of Central Transport activities and knowledge of the Care Logistic system that logs and dispatches patient transport requests throughout the hospital. They are also responsible for other duties as related to department or hospital operations.Description

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• One to two years of hospital and or healthcare experience preferred.
• Must manage various attitudes of customers effectively.
• Must be able to work alone and or in confined or crowded areas.
• Must be aware of patients condition at all times.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• Must be able to perform shift work and weekend work if required.
• Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within two weeks in position.
