Our team is dedicated to developing new AI products and features, spanning data engineering, ML Ops, applied science, and product-focused teams within Relativity Engineering.

About The Director Of AI Engineering – Transform Review

This role leads a team responsible for flagship AI products like Review Center, aiR for Review, and aiR for Privilege. The director will align architecture and organization, transforming and unifying these products to redefine document review in the legal industry.

Key responsibilities include accelerating AI innovation, collaborating with product management, overseeing a team of 50+ engineers and leaders, and working with other AI functions to maximize impact.

Job Responsibilities

• Represent Relativity's AI strategy for flagship aiR products.
• Own key features, technology functions, and team development.
• Participate in industry conferences and customer engagements.
• Recruit and build a cross-functional AI team.
• Lead large initiatives with strategic prioritization and resource management.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to scale solutions.
• Prioritize technical investments and architecture.
• Mentor and develop AI engineering talent.
• Inspire innovation and AI-driven transformation within Relativity.
• Advise leadership on innovative technologies and partnerships.
• Promote data curiosity and scalable data practices.
• Develop practices for onboarding engineers and expanding AI skills globally.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in AI/ML, with 3-5 years in leadership.
• Experience in building and scaling AI products, especially generative AI.
• Proficiency in leveraging data for knowledge retrieval, search, and mission-critical ML solutions.
• Leadership experience in software teams within global organizations.
• Strong communication and strategic skills.
• Experience with cloud systems (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in modern programming languages and cloud compute environments.
• Experience in SaaS/cloud environments with distributed teams.
• Experience launching and growing new products in dynamic markets.
• Knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and Generative AI APIs.
• Experience with big data infrastructure and cloud-native tools.
• Leadership of geographically dispersed teams.

Relativity offers competitive total compensation, including base salary, bonus, and incentives. The salary range is $195,000 to $293,000, based on experience and qualifications.
