Overall Job Summary: The Store Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profit goals by delivering the best customer experience. They will ensure the team is well-supported, developed, and managed according to results, values, and leadership standards. The Store Manager will operate in compliance with legal requirements and H&M policies to meet customer and colleague expectations.
This position reports to the Area Sales Manager and has direct reports including the Store Visual Manager (based on volume), Department Manager, Department Supervisor (based on volume), Visual Merchandisers (based on volume), Cash Office Responsible (based on volume), and Sales Associates.
Your Day-to-Day
Sales and Profit
- Analyze sales and profit KPIs regularly and take strategic actions to maximize results.
- Ensure store operations, standards, and best practices are followed, including scheduling to maximize conversion and support commercial activities within the sales budget.
- Prioritize actions with the team to maintain optimal garment levels impacting sales positively.
- Manage store maintenance cost-effectively, meeting H&M standards, and initiate necessary actions.
- Prevent loss actively with the team and follow audit guidelines.
- Participate in executing store routines such as delivery processing, garment handling, reductions, and pricing changes.
People and Teams
- Oversee recruitment, training, development, and succession planning aligned with H&M best practices.
- Evaluate and manage team performance, conduct dialogues, develop plans, and implement feedback for improvement.
- Maintain clear communication on business performance, company culture, and goals through daily and scheduled meetings.
- Ensure health, safety, legal, and security standards are upheld, safeguarding employees and customers.
- Promote feedback and coach the team to strengthen company culture.
Financial Accountability
- Take responsibility for store sales and profit.
- Accurately record sales figures and working hours.

Compensation: $59,505 - $69,323 annually
