Summary

The Production Manager manages all activities related to yard operations and development of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

Responsibilities
  • Primary
    • Develops and maintains production business plans for all yard operations
    • Establishes production and quality control standards for all yard shuttle operations
    • Ensures all established production, quality and delivery commitments are met
    • Provides guidance to the development of a process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, tooling and equipment needs
    • Determines responsibilities of assigned supervisory staff positions to accomplish business objectives
    • Maintains production business plans for yard shuttle
    • Maintains production and quality control standards for all yard shuttle operations
    • Maintains and monitors up-to-date inventory of units on site
  • Secondary
    • Ensures all support elements are developed and followed for yard activities
    • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations
    • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of production problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent production delays
    • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shuttle operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports
    • Supports other managers in their absence
  • All other duties assigned
Skills
  • Proven above average Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Ability to work weekends and/or Holidays, be on call and respond to calls during non-work hours
Education & Experience
  • Associates Degree Required
  • 7 - 10 Years Required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasionally Stand/Walk
