Summary
The Production Manager manages all activities related to yard operations and development of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Responsibilities
Primary
Develops and maintains production business plans for all yard operations
Establishes production and quality control standards for all yard shuttle operations
Ensures all established production, quality and delivery commitments are met
Provides guidance to the development of a process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, tooling and equipment needs
Determines responsibilities of assigned supervisory staff positions to accomplish business objectives
Maintains production business plans for yard shuttle
Maintains production and quality control standards for all yard shuttle operations
Maintains and monitors up-to-date inventory of units on site
Secondary
Ensures all support elements are developed and followed for yard activities
Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations
Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of production problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent production delays
Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shuttle operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports
Supports other managers in their absence

Skills
Proven above average Microsoft Excel Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Proven leadership experience
Ability to work weekends and/or Holidays, be on call and respond to calls during non-work hours
Education & Experience
Associates Degree Required
7 - 10 Years Required
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Carry up to 25 lbs.
