Ambassador Personnel is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for our client in Montgomery, AL. The Assistant Plant Manager supervises the production personnel, quality control, shipping/receiving, purchasing, and sales teams. The Assistant Plant Manager will oversee manufacturing functions, including multiple projects and tasks, therefore, organizational and time management skills will be essential to their success. The ideal candidate must thrive in a face-paced environment, possess strong interpersonal skills, be decisive, and have previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and consistent records of all production activities per established guidelines
• Monitor and report production and operational progress to Plant Manager
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, barrel lifts, and other heavy object lifting equipment
• Complete all training mandated by the environmental and safety manager
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, federal safety laws, and environmental laws and regulations
• Participate in facility upkeep, minor equipment repairs, and other maintenance schedule assignments
• Communicate with customers and be able to assist them with orders, quotes, invoices, or questions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Previous management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicle
• Strong problem-solving skills, positive attitude and interpersonal skills
• Lift up to 70 pounds consistently throughout the shift
