Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (CAEC) is seeking an Intern within our Customer Service department to work in a part-time capacity from the Prattville Headquarters, located at 103 Jesse Samuel Hunt Boulevard, Prattville, Alabama. The internship is anticipated to extend for up to a one-year timeframe which, unless otherwise approved, will extend from June 2024 to June 2025.

Responsibilities: Under the supervision and general direction of the Manager of Customer Service, the Intern will scan various member and internal documentation into the imaging system, receive and distribute incoming mail, and assist with completing and mailing new member paperwork, in addition to performing other tasks as necessary or required. At the conclusion of the internship, the Intern will be responsible for training the incoming Intern on all duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications: The successful candidate should be a full-time high school Junior or Senior for the 2024-2025 school term. The candidate must maintain a good working relationship and rapport with internal customers, follow oral and written instructions, and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Physical Demands: The candidate must be able to perform tedious visual tasks for extended periods, operate a personal computer, and be capable of lifting items up to 10 pounds.
