This position is onsite at our Greensboro, NC location.
The shift for this role is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST with a 1-week on call- rotation every 4-weeks.
As a Fulfillment Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for compounding and dispensing medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines. In addition, maintain daily production, quality, and service levels, vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. The Staff Pharmacist may also train less experienced pharmacists.
What you will do:
- Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians. Interpret physicians' or prescribers' prescriptions.
- Verify information on prescriptions such as drug strength, prescription sig., and drug name in order to expedite processing of orders.
- Verify and confirm validity of controlled substances.
- Maintain controlled substance inventory records.
- Verify prescription information entered in the system by data entry or order entry.
- Verify all medications and supplies are pulled correctly and appropriate for the order.
- Maintain work flow in the pharmacy and warehouse as needed
- Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.
- Problem solving involving various prescription, shipping and insurance authorization issues.
- Coordinate courier deliveries for urgent patient needs
- Ensure compliance with REMS medications
- Coordinate and assist management with various projects
- Consult with other pharmacy teams to coordinate patient shipments
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and company SOP's
What you will need to do the job:
- Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree
- 1-2 years relevant experience
- Current resident pharmacist license in good standing
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times
