The **Customer Service Representative** is r esponsible for accepting customer orders, answering of switchboard, transferring of calls, determining customer requirements and expectations, processing customer orders, and coordinating with production control, shipping and warehouse personnel to ensure fulfillment of customer requirements. Maintain daily logs.

This position will serve our **HTPG** Division, located inScottsboro, AL.

**WHAT YOULL DO:**

* Receive and process orders via phone, fax, and EDI. Consult with supervisor where necessary.

* Extensive phone contact with dealers, wholesalers, retailers, customers, and internal customers concerning the following issues; production and shipping dates, price and availability of product, warranty information, authorization to return goods, truckload scaling optimization, Division policies and procedures, etc.

* Exhibit a high level of diplomacy, tact and service orientation to facilitate cooperation and goodwill when dealing with internal and external customers.

* Take ownership of customer complaints and take necessary steps to prevent reoccurrence.

* Determine customer order requirements and expectations and coordinated with production logistics. React quickly to changing priorities, processes and systems.

* Provide order information and encourage proper purchasing habits on the part of the customer in order to facilitate more economical scheduling of plant production.

* Maintain records of the production, shipping and delivery status of customer orders on order record; maintain templates and customer profiles. Maintain related files for correspondence, credit request, invoices, etc.

* Prepare and maintain timely account status reports as requested, maintain daily logs

* Advise customers how to obtain in-warranty replacements.

* Advise distributors, sales representatives, etc., , restocking fees, etc.

* Must attend work regularly.

**Qualifications**

**WHAT YOU NEED:**

* One-year certificate from college or technical school, or combination of high school diploma (or equivalency) and related work experience.

* Experience in a call center.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:**

* Excellent problem solving skills.

* Excellent communication skills (written, listening, & oral).

* Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with people inside and outside the Company in a professional manner.

* Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

* Demonstrated data entry skills (Will be assessed).

* Knowledge of water heater products

* Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint **and** Outlook

* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)

**HOW TO STAND OUT:**

* An Associates degree and commercial refrigeration-related experience.

* Rheem has and continues to follow CDC guidance and will remain a masking environment for interviews. We will require all candidates (active and passive) to remain masked throughout their time on-site at a Rheem location or Rheem event. This includes within interviews rooms with more than 1 person present.
