Faulkner University is seeking two qualified individuals to serve as Math Tutors for the Title III grant awarded by the Department of Education. These successful candidates will be responsible for providing mathematics tutoring for Faulkner adults students. These individuals will also provide general assistance to the Project Director, including clerical duties. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
Each position will be part-time (25 hours per week).
Positions are funded for a period of three-years. Employment beyond the life of the grant is subject to grant renewal or University funding.
Summary of Duties:
- Tutor all levels of mathematics, at a minimum through Calculus I
- Document logged hours of student lab use
- Assist students with general mathematics problems
- Perform clerical duties such as compiling/submitting reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Secondary Education Mathematics required
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mathematics or Secondary Education Mathematics
- Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Active member of the churches of Christ
